voiacast

Voiacast for macOS

Press. Speak. Type.

Hold a key, talk, and your words appear in whatever you're typing into. No window to switch to, no copy-paste, no round trip through the cloud.

Hold Space to dictate. Release to type.

How it works

Three steps. One hotkey. No window switching.

01

Hold the key.

Pick a key combination once. Default is Space . Hold it down whenever you'd rather talk than type.

02

Say what you want to write.

Talk like you'd talk. Punctuation lands itself. Pauses are fine. Stop talking when you're done.

03

Watch your words land.

Release the key and your words appear in whatever you were typing into. The same window, the same cursor position, the same flow.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered briefly.

Does my voice ever leave my Mac?

No. Audio is processed on your Mac and discarded as soon as your words appear on screen. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere by default.

Where do my words show up?

Wherever your cursor is. Email drafts, chat windows, terminals, IDEs, browser inputs, native apps — if you can type into it, Voiacast can dictate into it.

What does Free actually include?

Unlimited dictation. One push-to-talk hotkey. A 50-entry custom dictionary. No account, no quota, no upsells inside the app. Free is the product, not a teaser.

How is Pro different?

Larger transcription models for tougher accents and noisy rooms, an unlimited dictionary, multiple hotkey profiles, an on-the-fly rephrase action, and settings export so your config travels with you.

Do I need to know which model to pick?

No. The default works out of the box. Pro adds a model picker for people who want to push accuracy further.

Which languages are supported?

Most major languages out of the box, including English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, and Mandarin. The model detects what you're speaking automatically.

Will there be a Windows version?

Not yet. Voiacast is Mac-native first; a Windows app, if it ships, will be a separate release built specifically for Windows.
